According to my blog its been 2 years since I've last put up anything on here due to the fact I couldn't actually log in.
A lot has happened
The project, the community, the dancers outlet known as N2S aka Night 2 Sunrise came to a sad end last November ('12) after what was a glorious 4 years of its a running. In true n2s style I was too caught up running the birthday night then actually creating memories of it. There are a few random videos out on youtube but that's about it. There are a few photos hovering around too.
All along the way I thought N2S wasn't a big deal in the Sydney scene. It was a source of education and awareness for the audience, an outlet for dancers to imexpress (impress + express) as well as re-creating that feel good vibe that are lost amongst many events. It didn't have the full backing of existing scene (or perhaps I was pretty shiet at marketing it hah!)
When I look back however I couldn't of been anymore wrong about the lack of support. Reflecting almost 10 months down the track I've come to fully appreciate the time and effort invested by everyone into the underground movement that helped promote the Hiphop/Dance community. Taking some time aside now for the thankyous I never got to make!
A shoutout must go to our core homie Suk Hee who provided the 1s & 2s for each and every n2s event that needed a set - then selflessly stepping aside to allow one of our other supportive DJs from the scene to jump on and bang out some tunes for the rest of us. On that note another mention goes to DJ Libre and DJ Samrai taking time out of their lives to instead rock the decks to give us that vibe we've come to cherish at all the n2s events.

Trina deserves a mad shoutout here. Never hesitating and with 110% support every step along the way from all the way back to our humble 4 man jams. She very kindly donated studio space where we held our last birthday jam in November at Ace Dance Studios '12. Darrio who's support from the beginning fueled me enough to bang out and commit to every single jam along the way, to persevere until n2s received that awareness in the community I strived for. I believe I missed 2 all nighter jam sessions from 48 or so run over the 4 years. Not a bad effort. Darrio has always been a mentor of mine.

Diego. OLA PAPI! still to this day, this guys energy and enthusiasm is unmatched and unwaivering. My fullest support to his new endeavour at Hiphop Legacy Magazine. When people crash out at 3am during the monthly jams Diego is the man with the reminder of why we were there - and that's the best way to describe it. He was there from the get go and still representing at the last jam. His new lovechild Hiphop Legacy and it's dance event coming up will be the biggest event for the year I believe. Check it out.

Mark Reyes for helping kick start the idea and its running. Brought in much needed videography skills. John Yee - Was the go to man when trying to battle the legal forces preventing us from setting up camp with one of our full blown out events in Darling Harbour. We managed to run the main event on the street for a number of years complete with curiously satisfied harbourside rangers. Karen our resident popper making headways for herself nowadays - working harder than ever. Jason Lucas for all the level headed dance chats I wouldn't of had with other dancers in the scene.
There are a number of people I've forgotten but it's all good. You know who you are and I appreciate you just the same.
For those that never hauled ass to at least check it out. You missed out.
Events... hm...
Peace.

Yo Brother Chris thanks for the shoutout and thanks for taking "street dancing back into the real streets. This was born out of your frustration of how events were run and how dancers were being treated .. in and out of the scene.. So for you to step away from the crowd and to start something new,. took courage, that most dancer/conformist these days dont have.. If I wanted to bug out and dance without going to a club, learn new or old music or to check out dancers and where their heads were at these .. i knew that once a month Chis and Mark would be down at the EC with their speaker, pushing out the tracks , and educating "somebody.. Thanks for your contribution bro.. Hoping you'll come back one day... Peace
