Longetivity is what came to mind at the start of everything and its still what comes to mind now - however theres always a "but" in there... and i hope we get to talk properly about it all. I tried calling you today to see how you were but you didn't pick up... i promise i'll be calling you every sunday once a week until you do.hmm. If you're reading this blog then know this... gad damn do i miss you- 

n2s Jam Invite - April

To those not apart of the n2s mailing list here's the email i sent out just then. It's an invitation for all of those interested in coming to our next jam session! note: there is no attached picture here since im just writing. THE INVITE IS OPEN TO ALL!!!

Wassup everybody! first things first! THIS ISN'T SPAM



The first official email being sent out to all of you fine ladies and gentlemen on our mailing list - This email is about our montly n2s dance jam sessions 



Some of you may or may not have had a the chance for myself or Mr Mark Reyes to explain what it is.. in a nutshell n2s stands for Night 2 Sunrise... basically, once a month we head into the city as a group and we dance from around 8pm one night over the weekend till sunrise the next morning which is around 5am. Of course there's a break in there somewhere... most importantly it's nothing compulsory, everyone just comes to dance whether they're a beginner/advanced or just want to come by and check it out. If you aren't clear on what n2s is about or if you want more of an explanation of what and how it is please visit our blogsite at n2sjams.wordpress.com... read the first post! it explains everything! 



Those of you who have recieved this email expressed interest in wanting to attend this jam session. Some of you i met and got in contact with through Darrio and his dance studio in the city - a few others from the video clip gig we did with Lana aka Lady Lyric a week or so back - and for the rest, well you're probably already friends with us personally! So here it is - the 5W's for the next n2s jam for April



WHAT: n2s Jams Session April

WHO: Open invite to you and other friends that may want to come down and join in.. get their emails for me so i can spam- er - email them when the next n2s is on!

WHERE: Meet at the Entertainment Centre McDonalds at 8pm (right infront of Paddys Market in Chinatown).. confused? email me

WHY: Boogie the night away street style... and it's cheaper than clubbing



So everyone i hope to see a bunch of you there.. apologies for not having the jam session last month as it got a bit too hectic - i know some of you were waiting around for one.

Yep, am due for another posting !!!

WAAAZZAAAAAA!! <<<>

anyway, didnt realise my last post was almost a bloody month ago! HOORAH! time for another post.

anyway third attempt at starting it.. what to say.. oh yeah i had my grad ceremony about a week ago.

i looked like a tool

photos are on my facebook for your viewing pleasures... ;).. or not. anyway i had the gown, the hat, hood and anything else i missed. Parents were thinking of buying the gown until i told em how much it was ->> $300+ for the set. HELL NO! We got the hat instead which ended up costing about 92 smackaroos or something like that. Gown was black and i had some sort of turquoise typa colour for my hoody -wasn't really a hoody. Ceremony was boring, suprise attendance by my relatives including my lola who had apparently never gone to a graduation ceremony of her 62 years of life.. goes to show theres a first time for everything ! =]. ceremony was boring just wanted to add that in again and yea, no real tears or anything. Plenty of photos of though. I honestly wasn't too *close close* with anyone but Brendan and Raelene who both left me all by my lonesome during the course ...*allll byyy myyy seelffff*.. anyway. Anthony and Che seem to be real cool, too bad i didnt start the course when they did.! they cool nonetheless.. and Che's dad works with my uncle at cityrail... oh yea che and Anthony are filo, enough said. We all ate at pancakes at the rocks then made our merry way home - end of graduation day/night... UTAS ARE BLOODY TIGHTASSES

anyhow i wanted to dedicate this entry more so to the different dance events thats been happenin lately, the reason why we didnt have an n2s jam for march. I wrote a shiz load of stuff on the n2s blog site n2sjams.wordpress.com so i decided to just cut and paste a snippet of my entry over there. For you dance fans.. following info might interest you - or not - doesnt really matter.

Couple of other events that happened lastmonth and early this include Looze Control run by Nojon Entertainment - it's a Hip Hop crew battle - whereby dance crews of all sorts put together a routine of about 3minutes and perform it to an audience. Not sure what the results of that comp were but im sure you can find some of the crews footage on youtube somewhere lol.

Tommy and Jake from Scrappy Fam also brought to you the debut of Bangout - the first of its type debuting this year at a community in Granville out in semi-western Sydney. Bangout is a krump event which featured some of Melbourne and Sydneys new and best Krumpers. What can i say.. the event went off... hot dayum did it go off... I asked the event organisers how often it'd be held and he said probably twice a year. for those that bothered to come to this blog site be sure to make an appearance at the next Bangout event... its going to be crazy. Search "Bangout 2009" in youtube and you''ll come across some footage from the event including a 9 year old baby boy.... enough said.

Platform 2 - Bboy event - made my debut there with Darrio and Chux the other week.. shoutout to em both. Anyhow, we did a locking showcase for the event which turned out to be quite the performance - certainly livening up the place with a different bit of old school - and of course darrios hand springs. For those that don't know who he is might not care about hand springs, so ill just add the idea that Darrio is 56 years now or something... and still repping the scene. Respect!. Now to go over here and stir shit up.... ;)

Another prestigous event thats made its way into the sydney scene is the Australia Hip Hop Championship aka AHC. This event in Sydney is run by our own Sydney based Critical Hype who was also responsible for bringing to you the freestyle battle "360" which took place during March at Uni of New South Wales. Australian Hip Hop Championships are affiliated with the more commonly known "World Hip Hop Championship" - the same competition which to a certain degree launched the - Filipino All Stars into the international hip hop spotlight. Though i haven't really heard about much of their work prior to winning that comp... AHC is scheduled to lift off this April around the time im writing this entry, the actual date itself eludes me for the meantime.

One last thing to top this entry off is about our gig on the 8th april, which is actually TONIGHT !(gad dayum.. didnt realise it was the next day already, currently writing this entry at 0102 mil. time) - for the first time in my dancing life ill be able to have a crack at dancing in a video clip for one of the local artists here in sydney city. Her stage/emcee name is Lady Lyric, for people that want to peep her stuff or read up on some bio visit:

She'll be getting one of those songs on her myspace playlist produced into a video clip which the following gentlemen and ladies have the honour of featuring in:

On that note, it is extremely last minute notice - but the people producing the film have expressed an interest in "extras" being apart of the vid clip, not sure why they would request more people for they should have it covered already but its still a chance for you and friends to be apart of a vid clip that u can boast about to your aunties and uncles later on ..maybe u can be artista in the philippines with it ... L.o.L haha (filo injoke)

anyway ladies and gents,  last thing to say is.. instead of having mighty blogs that rant on and on.. im going to treat this differently and use it as not only a place ot vent about goodness knows what but as a "general" status/event/lifestyle/may interest you to know/random/dance/ etc so on and so forth type of blog so then i could perhaps gain more traffic this way.

How About That...

How about that, i havent blogged in ages when so much shit has happened in the last few months with more stuff happening in the next ! First off i gota give note to the n2s jam during feb! Basically, we lacked the presence of bodies that we normally would have. The night ended with only myself and mark to face the light... literally. We didnt dance as much as others but we did commit genocide on those crickets ... yes crickets, a swarm? of them bouncing around actually. i plucked a couple of legs and before you knew it. i had done so to about a dozen of them - we then fed them to the ants passing along. wat a way to kill time in the night lol how about that ay

How about that - the boys and i went clubbing last night right? Night started at Worldbar. we rocked up so i could say hello to my good friend since it was her birthday. Since i was so not filo i rocked up early with the guys just started drinking. had about 3 rounds before we hit the dance floor - i aint racist but damn the white guys there couldnt dance.. wait.. anyway... they were cool but.. haha heres a thought. WHITE GUY CRIP WALKING.. yep thats about as ironic and wrong in ever way. We locked, we popped, we TORE the house down.. nahhh playing haha. oh yeah ralph was breakdancing too lol. anyhow i gota try me one of those teapot cocktails sometime.. that shit looks deadly.

At about 9.30 we made our way into the city again and to say happy bday at another girls event. Talk about dogs... we rock up and organise to wait for her outside.. some half hour or so late we call back and find out she'd already gone into the club. FUCKEN FAIL. anyway i had stomach ache from the alchi. hadnt had much to eat so i was farting all over the place. it was probably a good thing we were outdoors for sucha long while. I have been to home since SUNSET PARADISE back in the u18 days. ne of u guys remember that? that shit went offff.. i picked up a girl and she didnt have a number! how does that work u reckon?... im asking you coz i forgot haha. so home was aiit.. alot of house music and company i didnt like. enough said

SKYGARDEN - surreal - is the words used by mark. we had what you would look back on as "good times" ... we also witnessed a shitload of FAILS in there. one of those fails kept tryna blow in our dance circles yeah a failure posing as a human... how was it fixed? a simple "im walking away... from the troubles" of my past.. yea thats right bitch. anyway the other fail was with mark.. ask him he'll tell u! haha. We danced, we rocked the night and knew about 80% of the people in there.. talk about fish bowl... yeah i need to get out. snowboarding anyone? all in all the night was hectic from the get go... how about that i cant complain !

How about that I FINISHED UNIVERSITY FOREVER!...CONGRATUALTE ME GAD DAMMIT !. For what was supposed to be a 2 year course took me 3. For all the unpaid work experiences i finally get to PROVIDE for me fam and self ! fuck yes.... Graduation is on March 31st at the powerhouse museum... getting my shit together so i can be sure to attend that without hiccups... yep big bad world here i come with needle in hand.. how about that eh ?

How about that! the boys and i are finally taking practical steps to making n[2]s OFFICIALLY running as its own entity. For anyone that reads my blog i really do call upon u guys to speak up and spread the word about n2s - ill try (in a nutshell) to explain what the n2s jams are about and what it is to me .... uncensored.

first off, i really dislike a vast majority of dancers ATTITUDES.. i dont hate. emphasising that aiit? we have too many hip hoppers in an already miniscule scene that dont do shit to further and better it. one eg. sellouts.. why do dancers get paid or treated like shit generally? its becoz no one takes a stand. if one person wants to get paid for effort they put into a gig.. chances are theyll be scrapped in place for some fools who will do that shit for free.... that aint doing anything for anyone else BUT themselves. selfish fockers. The underground is where i believe is where its at. its keeps egos at bay and gives a place for those that care an avenue with which to channel the right types of energy. Its a place that helps something that seems to have gotten stale since its introduction to Sydney. props to you Darrio "FRANK" Phillips.

.. this brings me back to the n2s jam. it's an avenue with which i have spoken about, it runs in the underground, there is no meaningless pressures on people to perform. We train, we laugh, we dance, we better everyone else including ourselves. This jam session is all bout the dancers and it really is as raw as it will get. We train in any style we believe the other has a strength in and we share what knowledge we do have with those who have an obvious passion for the artform.

^^^^^^^^^^^^ and with that id like to mention the above paragraph will mean shit all to the general community. so id like to breakdown the actual happenings of what does and can happen at n2s. basically its ~~~~ if u like to dance, got a passion or even just a small niggling curiosity about it contact one of the guys or use of the details below. we really do want people to come and jam with and just to have a good time. n2s runs from 8pm to sunrise the very next day so it really is a test physically and mentally.. heck even if u just wanted to exercise this would be a good outlet for you.

Opening Word for 2009

2009...

damn what a nice ring it has to it..

its been awhile since my last post but i still can't shake that new years feeling and we're already heading into feb. before we do i wana give a rundown on whats happened already !

New years - i can only say one thing... "lol".... i started my night off watchin the fireworks with the rentz on the tele.. and for the first time they let me out of the house on new years... YES thats milestone in itself for all of u who dont know me well =]. Proceeded to head into the town to meet up with the fellows and fellettes (yeah its a new word) in the city. ive never seen george st such a mess... it was great! and to top it off ralph didnt listen to the rule about having "no alcohol" on the streets ... he had his beloved bottle of vodka taken off him... he had the maddest cry ay .. it was great ! hahahaha so we were there on george st, thinking about where to go.... yeah we ended up staying the rest of the night at starbar... good ol star bar.... -_-, what else can i say about it.. we drank/got drunk/became stupid/laughed at anything/danced to anything... even danced to nothing lol/ ... we spent the night there and planned to see the sunrise at darlingharbour in the morning. we failed, the sun was already rising wen we left starbar and it took half hour for us to migrate there lol.

Port Stephens - one of the very few getaways that i get to experience and it was worth it. went there with my girl and workmates.. with a couple of their females friends. stayed there for about 4 days and 3 nights... i shottied the master bedroom........... yep that was a good move........

it was a heaps good get away from all the stupid stresses from the local city life and uni.... oh yeah about that, i grad in about a month a bits time if all goes well *crosses fingers* pray for me... =]

boy is hesitant to make any major moves becoz of the other dose of testoserone she came with
boy soon susses out he's harmless ;)
girl seems shy. seems hesitant but suprisingly she came to the n2s jam sessions
boy has another one of his "realisations" - he wants her
girl has absolutely NO idea... ;)
